Dona is the Vietnamese name for Monthong, a durian variety of Thai origin, grown in Vietnam since 1991 and officially recognised as a variety in 2005. The fruit is cylindrical, about 2.5–4.5 kg, with buttery-yellow flesh and a rich, sweet taste.
Durian is bought at the orchard and brought to a grading warehouse, where the fruit is sorted by size, checked for ripeness and tested for sweetness before it is boxed. We prepare each order to the fruit size you specify.
